Ensure Consistent Report Access and Data Accuracy in Zenoti
This article explains how to ensure consistent visibility and data access in reports across Zenoti users. Report discrepancies between employees often stem from differences in role permissions, analytics access, shared views, or filters. Follow the steps in this guide to identify and resolve these inconsistencies.
Verify role permissions
Navigate to the employee profile.
Under Security & Access, confirm the user has the correct role.
At the organization level, click the Configuration icon.
Navigate to Security > Security Roles.
Select the relevant role and open the Permissions tab.
Expand and review View Admin Reports and Analytics & Reporting sections.
Ensure that all users intended to access the same reports have identical permissions. Even minor permission differences can lead to varying data visibility.
Confirm analytics access in employee profiles
Analytics access is configured separately from role-based permissions.
Open the employee profile.
Set analytics access to reader.
Click Save.
Note that analytics access changes may take 12–24 hours (up to 48 hours in some cases) to fully propagate. If access remains unavailable after this period, re-save the access level as Reader. Avoid making multiple changes during this period to prevent delays.
Check shared custom report views
Custom report views are private by default unless shared. To share custom views, follow these steps:
Open the relevant report.
Identify any views with a shared icon.
If only certain users can access a view:
Share the view with the required users.
Create a new view and share it with the entire team.
Note that even with identical permissions, users will not see the same layout unless they are using the same shared view.
Ensure filter and column consistency
Report differences often result from mismatched filters or columns.
Confirm if all users are using the same date range and identical filters (for example, location, employee, service).
Check the report layout and open the Show/Hide Columns menu and enable all necessary columns.
Troubleshoot report visibility issues
If reports, panels, or tabs are missing despite correct setup:
Maximize the browser window
Clear the browser’s cache and cookies
Disable any extensions that may block content
Try accessing Zenoti in incognito/private mode or a different browser (Chrome is recommended)
