Access W-2 and 1099 copies for your employees
This article explains how business owners and administrators can access W-2 and 1099 tax documents for their employees directly within Zenoti Integrated Payroll.
Overview
This guide is intended for businesses using Zenoti Integrated Payroll. You can access W-2 and 1099 documents for all employees - including both active and terminated employees - whose payroll history is on record with Zenoti for the relevant tax year.
Steps to access
Follow the steps below:
Go to Employees > Zenoti Integrated Payroll.

In the right-side menu, click Filings and Documents and select Documents.

On the Documents screen, select W-2/1099.
Use the business filter in the top right corner to select the specific business location you want to view.

Once you select your filters, a list of all W-2 or 1099 statements associated with employees at that business for the selected tax year will be displayed.
What to expect in the Documents list
The list includes both active and terminated employees who have payroll history saved in Zenoti for the respective tax year.
Documents are organized by business, so if you manage multiple locations, use the business filter to switch between them.
For migrated companies:
If your company recently migrated to Zenoti from a previous payroll provider, here's what you should know:
As part of the migration process, your year-to-date (YTD) payroll history is typically transferred from your previous provider into Zenoti. This ensures that a single, consolidated W-2 or 1099 is generated by Zenoti for each employee for that tax year - rather than separate forms from both the old and new providers.
If you have questions about your migration data or notice any discrepancies in your tax documents, please contact Zenoti Support for assistance.
Key terms
Key Term | Description |
W-2 | A tax form that reports an employee's annual wages and the taxes withheld from their paycheck. Employers are required to issue this form to each employee at the end of the tax year. |
1099 | A tax form used to report income paid to non-employee workers, such as independent contractors. Businesses must issue this form when applicable payments meet the IRS threshold. |
Consolidated Tax Form | A single W-2 or 1099 generated by Zenoti for an employee for a given tax year, combining payroll data from both a previous provider and Zenoti following a migration. |
