Corporate membership sales behaviour

The Corporate Account Configuration on the membership determines how the membership behaves at the point of sale and on the Webstore. The front desk applies the corporate account at the time of sale. The account stays linked to the membership for all future recurring collections.

At the point of sale

The behavior at the point of sale differs based on the Corporate Account Configuration set on the membership.

No Corporate Association. The point of sale does not present a corporate account selection. The full membership fee is collected from the member's payment methods. The front desk cannot apply a corporate account to this membership.

Optional Corporate Association. The point of sale presents a corporate account selection. The front desk selects a corporate account or proceeds without one. Both paths complete the sale successfully. If the front desk skips the corporate account selection at the time of sale, a corporate account cannot be linked to that membership later.

Mandatory Corporate Association. The point of sale requires a corporate account selection before the membership can be added to the invoice. The front desk cannot proceed without selecting one. If no corporate account is associated with the membership in the membership master, the membership does not appear for sale at the point of sale.

Apply a corporate account during membership purchase

The front desk selects a corporate account at the point of sale when selling a membership to a member under a corporate arrangement.

To apply a corporate account during a membership purchase, follow these steps:

  1. Open the membership purchase screen in POS.

  2. Select the membership for the member.

  3. From the Corporate Account dropdown, select the applicable corporate account.

  4. Review the payment split that Zenoti displays. The split shows the corporate portion and the amount the member owes.

  5. Confirm the amounts with the member.

  6. Complete the purchase.

Zenoti records the corporate portion as a separate payment and the member's portion on the member's invoice. The split applies automatically to all future recurring billing cycles.

Note

The Corporate Account dropdown appears only when the corporate account configuration is enabled for the membership. Contact your Zenoti administrator if the dropdown is not visible.

Managing the corporate account after the sale

After a corporate-linked membership is sold, the front desk manages the corporate account association from the guest profile on POS.

To remove a corporate account from a guest's membership, follow these steps:

  1. Open POS and search for the guest.

  2. Open the guest profile.

  3. Navigate to the Memberships tab.

  4. Select the membership.

  5. Select the corporate account and click Remove.

Note

After removal, the full membership fee is collected from the member's payment methods on the next recurring collection.

Reinstate a corporate account

To reinstate a corporate account on a guest's membership, follow these steps:

  1. Open POS and search for the guest.

  2. Open the guest profile.

  3. Navigate to the Memberships tab.

  4. Select the membership.

  5. Select the corporate account and click Add.

Note

A corporate account can be reinstated only if it was applied at the original sale. A corporate account cannot be added to a membership that was originally sold without one.

On the Webstore

Corporate accounts cannot be applied to membership purchases on the Webstore. The Webstore membership purchase flow does not include a corporate account selection at any point. Guests navigate to the Webstore, select a membership, proceed to checkout, and complete the purchase at the full membership fee. The Corporate Account Configuration on the membership controls whether the membership appears in the Webstore catalog.

No Corporate Association.

The membership appears in the Webstore catalog. Guests purchase it at the full membership fee.

Optional Corporate Association.

The membership appears in the Webstore catalog. The checkout does not present a corporate account selection. Guests purchase it at the full membership fee.

Mandatory Corporate Association.

The membership does not appear in the Webstore catalog. Sell this membership only at the front desk, where a corporate account can be applied at the time of sale.
