Q: What are the processing fees for Sunbit BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) transactions?

A: There is a flat 5% fee for each Sunbit BNPL transaction, which includes the processing fee.

Q: Where is Sunbit supported?

A: Sunbit is only offered in the United States.

Q: How do I create a Sunbit account?

A: You can create an account within the Payment Processor Onboarding section under each center.

A: No, this integration is separate from the standard Sunbit account.

Q: Is there a Sunbit Dashboard?

A: Yes, the Sunbit Dashboard will be provided through the initiation email.

Q: When do I get paid?

A: Your business receives the full invoice amount upfront from Sunbit (minus the 5% fee) within two business days of the transaction approval. You are not paid in installments.

Q: Is it free for the guest?

A: Guests have three repayment options, one of which is fee-free.

Q: Can you set a minimum value for when BNPL is offered?

A: Yes, you can set both a minimum and maximum value.

Q: Does Sunbit support Prequalification links?

A: Yes, after creating a Sunbit account, you can add the “[SunbitPrequalificationLink]” macro to your communications.

Q: What is the maximum value for Sunbit?

A: The maximum value is $10,000.

Q: How does this work in-store?

A: In-store, using the webPOS, a payment link is sent to the guest for BNPL payment of the invoice.

A: Online, the BNPL option is provided at checkout if the transaction meets the set minimum value.

Q: Is the application process quick?

A: Yes, the average application time is less than 10 minutes.

Q: How long will it take for the transaction to appear within Zenoti?

A: The transaction will appear in Zenoti in under one minute after approval.

Q: What type of reporting is available?

A: All BNPL transactions will be reported in the digital payments reports and the Sunbit Dashboard.

Q: Does Sunbit have a support number?

A: Yes, you can contact the Sunbit Customer Care Center directly at (855) 778-6248.

Q: Is there any charge beyond the 5% fee?

A: No. There are no additional processing or Zenoti fees. The only cost to your business is a flat 5% fee on the total invoice amount.

Q: How does the business receive the payout?

A: Sunbit deposits the full invoice amount (minus the 5% fee) directly to the bank account entered during your setup process.

Q: What happens if a guest stops making payments to Sunbit?

A: Your business is not affected. Once the transaction is approved, you receive the full amount from Sunbit. Sunbit handles all repayment collection directly with the guest. This setup allows businesses to offer financing without the risks or complexities of direct lending. Even if a customer defaults or stops making payments, Sunbit does not charge back the business.

Q: Do pre-approval amounts expire?

A: Yes. Pre-qualification approvals are typically valid for 30 days. Guests can refer to their approval email from Sunbit for the exact expiration date.

Q: Can the 5% fee be passed on to the guest?

A: No, you cannot directly pass the 5% Sunbit transaction fee to customers as a separate surcharge. Sunbit’s terms of service prohibit adding fees specifically for using Sunbit as a payment method.

Q: Are other Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) providers supported by Zenoti?

A: Yes. In addition to Sunbit, Zenoti supports Affirm, Klarna, and Afterpay. However, the availability may vary based on region and payment processor. The processing fee for these partners is expected to be 5.9%.

Q: If a guest chooses a payment plan with interest (APR), is the business still charged 5%?

A: Yes, the 5% fee is fixed and applies to all BNPL transactions, regardless of the guest’s chosen repayment plan or APR.

Q: Can BNPL transactions be refunded?

A: Yes. BNPL refunds are processed similarly to credit card refunds. Once a refund is initiated, the amount (excluding the original 5% fee) will be deducted from your bank account.

Q: What is the minimum and maximum amount supported for Sunbit BNPL?

A: The minimum transaction value is $60, and the maximum is $10,000.
