Access Setup Documents in Zenoti Integrated Payroll

This article explains how to access setup documents in the Zenoti Integrated Payroll (ZIP) dashboard during the onboarding process. These documents help confirm that key payroll data—such as tax liabilities, employee details, and bank account information—has been successfully transferred from a previous provider and is ready for review.

Overview

The Setup Documents section under the Documents tab in the ZIP dashboard provides a centralized location for all documents related to a company’s payroll setup. These documents are primarily used by businesses migrating from another provider. Inception companies (those starting fresh with Zenoti) do not require these documents.

Types of Setup Documents

Historical Liability Debit (HLD) Report

If a business has unpaid taxes from its previous payroll provider, Zenoti generates a Historical Liability Debit (HLD) Report. This report appears in the Setup Documents section after payroll set up is completed.  The HLD collection is scheduled after 10 days post first payroll submission with Zenoti.

The HLD report itemizes all unpaid tax liabilities Zenoti will collect from the employer.

Setup verification reports

These reports reflect the payroll data migrated by Check, our migration partner and provide a snapshot of the final setup once it is completed.

Employee setup

A downloadable CSV file lists all employees added during setup. It includes key information such as:

  • Name

  • Employment status

  • Payroll settings

Contractor setup

A CSV file lists all contractors added during setup. It includes details similar to those in the employee setup file.

Bank account setup

A CSV file lists bank account information for employees and contractors. For security, only the last four digits of each account number are visible.

Businesses should carefully review all setup documents during onboarding. Flag any discrepancies before going live with Zenoti Integrated Payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Access Setup Documents

To access setup documents:

  1. Navigate to Employees > Zenoti Integrated Payroll to open the ZIP dashboard.

  2. Click Documents in the right-side menu.

  3. Scoll to the Setup Documents section.

  4. Review the listed document types.

  5. Download CSV files as needed for internal review.
