Configure mandatory selection of room for every service
To ensure a room is assigned to each service booked, enable this setting to make sure front-desk staff selects a room for every service.
Enabling this setting will result in a reduced number of booking slots on the Webstore and CMA.
Required roles: Any role with access to the Administrator mode.
Required permissions: None
At the organization or center level, click the Configuration icon.
Search for and select Make it mandatory to select a room for all bookings.
Enable the setting.
Click Save.
To disable compulsory room selection for appointments, turn off the toggle.
Impacts and considerations
Prevents double booking of rooms and ensures appointments have the necessary space allocated.
Allows assigning appointments to rooms that are best suited for the type of service being offered.
Restricts room selection and scheduling options if there are limited room choices, particularly when specific rooms are already booked.
Room deletion behavior and alerts
When a room is linked to future appointments, different alerts are shown when you attempt to delete the room from Zenoti. The behavior depends on whether mandatory room selection is enabled.
When mandatory room selection is turned off
You can delete the room from Zenoti, and the room will be removed from all future appointments where it is currently assigned.
Zenoti displays the following alert:
This room is associated with future appointments. Deleting it will remove the room from those bookings. Proceed?
When mandatory room selection is turned on
You can delete the room, but the future appointments will retain the room association.
Zenoti displays the following alert:
This room is associated with future appointments. Deleting it will not remove the association. You have to change them manually. Proceed?
You must manually update future appointments to assign a different room.
Room availability message
When a room cannot be selected because it is unavailable or has been deleted while creating or modifying a booking, the front desk sees the following message:
This room is not available at the selected time.
