You must have system administrator access to your device (PC or MAC) to update printer settings. Reach out to your IT team for information.
To set up the Epson TM-m30 printers on your computer, you must connect the printer to your computer and follow the instructions in the installation manual that came with the printer.
Install Epson TM-m30 drivers
Go to the Epson TM-m30 Series support page.
Scroll down to Downloads and expand Drivers.
Locate Advanced Printer Driver v5.11R1 and click Download.
To install the driver, double-click APD_511R1_m30.exe and proceed with the installation steps.
The Register, Change and Delete Printer window appears.
Under the Apply section, click Save Settings.
The printer name appears under Select Printer and shows the PrintReg dialog box.
To test print a receipt, click Yes.
Under Complete, click Next.
Install a virtual port for Epson TM-m30
A virtual port facilitates communication between your computer and the printer. Installing a virtual port lets you configure printer properties to suit your business requirements.
Go to the Epson TM-m30 Series support page.
Scroll down to Downloads and expand Drivers.
Locate Epson TMVirtual Port Driver v.8.60a, click Download and proceed with the installation steps.
The driver files are downloaded. The Epson TM Virtual Port Assignment Tool window appears.
Select COM5 and then click Assign Port.
To establish communication with a port, select ESDPRT001, and then click OK.
The printer appears in the Epson TM Virtual Port Assignment Tool window.
To test print a receipt, click Test Print.
