Use cards when cross center redemptions are disabled
When cross center redemptions for prepaid cards is disabled
If you disable cross center redemptions for prepaid cards, the following changes take place:
You can collect payment using a prepaid card only if the prepaid card was purchased at the current center.
The prepaid card icon in the Collect Payment section of the POS screen appears only if the guest has a valid prepaid card and if it was purchased at the current center
You can collect payment using a gift card only if the gift card was purchased at the current center.
The gift card icon in the Collect Payment section of the POS screen appears only if the guest has a valid gift card and if it was purchased at the current center.
When cross center redemptions for gift cards is disabled
If you disable cross center redemptions for gift cards, the following changes take place:
You can collect payment using a gift card only if the gift card was purchased at the current center.
The gift card icon in the Collect Payment section of the POS screen appears only if the guest has a valid gift card and if it was purchased at the current center.
Guests can redeem gift cards online only if they are purchasing items from the same center that issued the gift card.
Note
If you disable cross center redemptions for gift cards, corporate-issued gift cards will not work. Hence, you must sell the gift cards only at the individual centers and not online.
