Abandoned Cart Checkout Reminder

Abandoned cart checkout reminders are strategically timed prompts to boost revenue by nudging guests towards completing their purchases. These reminders are notifications that offer guests a convenient one-click option that effortlessly guides them directly to the checkout page.

Notification type: Transactional or Marketing

Note

Abandoned cart notifications are transactional by default. To configure them as marketing messages, contact your Zenoti representative.

Important

Once the abandoned cart message is set as a marketing notification, it cannot be changed back to transactional.

Services
  1. At the organization level, click the Configuration icon.

  2. Search for and select Abandoned cart checkout reminder in the Marketing settings section.

  3. Enable the setting.

  4. Click Edit template for Services. The Abandoned Checkouts window appears.

  5. You can choose to send reminders or alerts by email and text or either one only.

  6. Select the language in which you want to send the notification.

  7. In the Email template, enter the Subject, and HTML. Click here for more information.

  8. In the Text Message template, enter the required text.

  9. Use the following macros to configure your notifications:

    • [BookingLink]: Link guests can use to complete the booking process. On clicking, guests see the list of abandoned services added to the checkout.

    • [TreatmentList]: List of services in the abandoned cart.

    • [ServiceTherapistList]: List of services and corresponding therapists in the abandoned cart.

  10. Click Save.

  11. To select centers for which you want to enable reminders, click Select centers.

  12. Click Save.

Gift cards
  1. At the organization level, click the Configuration icon.

  2. Search for and select Abandoned cart checkout reminder in the Marketing settings section.

  3. Enable the setting.

  4. Click Edit template for gift cards. The Abandoned Checkouts (Gift Cards) window appears. You can choose to send reminders or alerts by email and text or either one only.

  5. Select the language in which you want to send the notification.

  6. In the Email template, enter the Subject, and HTML. Click here for more information.

  7. In the Text Message template, enter the required text.

  8. Use the following macros to configure your notifications:

    • [BookingLink]: Link guests can use to complete the booking process. On clicking, guests see the list of services in the abandoned cart.

    • [GiftCardsList]: List the gift cards in the abandoned cart.

  9. Click Save.

  10. To select centers for which you want to enable reminders, click Select centers.

  11. Click Save.

Series packages
  1. At the organization level, click the Configuration icon.

  2. Search for and select Abandoned cart checkout reminder in the Marketing settings section.

  3. Enable the setting.

  4. Click Edit template for Series Packages. The Abandoned Checkouts (Series Packages) window appears. You can choose to send reminders or alerts by email, text, or both. 

  5. Select the language in which you want to send the notification.

  6. In the Email template, enter the Subject, and HTML. Click here for more information.

  7. In the Text Message template, enter the required text.

  8. Use the following macros to configure your notifications:

    • [BookingLink]: Link guests can use to complete the booking process. On clicking, guests see the list of services in the abandoned cart.

    • [SeriesPackagesList]: List of series packages in the abandoned cart.

    • [SeriesPackagesCost]: Total cost of the series packages in the abandoned cart.

  9. Click Save.

  10. To select centers for which you want to enable reminders, click Select centers.

  11. Click Save.

Impacts and considerations:
  • If the Abandoned cart checkout reminder setting is enabled, it will automatically be enabled for both services and gift cards by default.

  • Center selection is common for both. If you want to enable the reminders for either only services or only gift cards, you can deactivate the other one from its corresponding template by switching off the Email and Text toggle.
