Custom coupons
Overview of custom coupons
A coupon is a voucher entitling the holder to a discount on a future purchase. Coupons can be used to entice guests to revisit your center soon, for redeeming the offer.
Depending on your need, you can create coupons in two ways in Zenoti: from custom coupons and from cashback campaigns. Refer to the article comparison of custom coupons and cashback campaigns to learn more about the difference between them. Based on that, you can choose either of them as per your requirement.
Note
You can create custom coupons at the center level only.
Create custom coupons
At the center level, click the Marketing icon and navigate to Campaigns > Custom Coupons.
The Custom Coupon page appears. Build rules related to Custom Coupons in the page.
Segment: The drop-down list shows the custom target segments created till date in Zenoti. Select a segment of guests you want to roll out the coupon to.
You can create a Discount or a Cashback Coupon:
Discount: The drop-down list shows all the discounts available in Zenoti, including the discounts created for campaigns. Select a discount from the drop-down list, as per need.
Note
Discounts created for classes and the BOGO Discounts (Buy X Get Y offer discounts) will not be available in the drop-down list. This means, you cannot create custom coupons with BOGO discounts and the discounts created for classes.
Important
Zenoti allows you to create either a discount coupon or a cashback, but not both. Hence, leave the Cashback field empty.
Cashback: Enter the amount you want to give as a cashback. Zenoti enables two checkboxes: Service/Day Packages and Products.
Service/Day Packages: Select the checkbox if the coupon can be redeemed only on services or day packages but not on a product purchase.
Products: Select the checkbox if the coupon can be redeemed only on products.
You can select both the checkboxes to give the cashback coupon on services, day packages, and also products.
Expires in: You can set the expiry of the coupon in any of the two ways:
Days: Enter the number of days after which the coupon expires.
Specific Date: Click the field and select a specific date from the calendar.
Do not print a coupon on an invoice receipt with a discount: Select the checkbox if you don’t want to pass on the coupon benefit to guests who have already received a discount in the invoice (from a valid coupon# received from past purchase, membership, campaign, packages, or a manual discount). On selection, Zenoti does not print the coupon# on the invoices with discounts.
Coupon can be printed on: This field shows checkboxes against each day in a week: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. You can select the days during which you want to print the coupon#. For example, say you want to print the coupon of 10% discount, on every Tuesday, select Tuesday checkbox for the Coupon can be printed on field. Zenoti prints the coupon# on receipts raised only on Tuesdays For example, say you want to announce cashback of $50 on every Friday, select Friday checkbox for the Coupon can be printed on field. Zenoti prints the coupon# on receipts raised on Fridays.
Click Add.
The coupon is added to the end of the list of existing coupons. The coupon you just added will be rolled out to an eligible guest, only when no other coupon preceding this one in the list was applied to the guest.
Important
You can rearrange the order of coupons in the list (by drag-and-drop) so that Zenoti executes the coupons in your preferred order.
When an eligible guest visits the center, the first coupon in the list, will be processed for the guest.
Once processed, the guest will not receive the same coupon again.
Guest can use the coupon only once. If the coupon has expiry, guest will not be able to use the coupon after the date of expiry.
Roll out custom coupons
When a guest visits your center and makes payment for a service/product purchased, Zenoti verifies if the guest is eligible for a coupon. For an eligible guest, on closing the invoice, the coupon# (generated automatically) is printed on the receipt (depending on the print settings you selected for a coupon).
In their next visit, the guest can redeem the coupon if it has not expired yet. The image below is a sample cashback coupon printed on a receipt.
Note
Coupon cannot be generated or redeemed on online purchases.

The image below is a sample discount coupon printed on a receipt. The text printed on the receipt comes from the description entered while creating a discount.

Coupon# generated for a guest is also available in the Guest Profile under the Coupons tab.

Track the effectiveness and redemption of coupons
Zenoti has two reports related to coupons:
Coupon Effectiveness Report: Compares the Issued vs. Redeemed coupons in a given time frame.
Coupon Redemption Report: Gives the list of guests who received the coupons, invoice# in which coupon# is printed, whether the coupon was redeemed, not redeemed, or got expired eventually. If redeemed then, in which invoice was the coupon redeemed.
Delete a custom coupon
Once created, a custom coupon remains active until its expiry (It is optional to set expiry for a coupon). If you did not set any expiry then, the coupon remains active till deleted.
Click the Cross icon (X) against a coupon in the list view.
A message appears asking for your confirmation to delete the coupon.
Click OK to proceed.
Note
If you have deleted a coupon from the Custom Coupons page, guests who received the coupon before you deleted, can still redeem the coupon.
