Configure package sales rules

Configure rules related to scheduling of package payments, templates for custom packages, offer packages, and so on.

Make card on file for scheduling package payments mandatory

When you set up schedules or installments for guests who buy packages by making partial payments, you can make it mandatory to have the guest's credit card on file.

Required roles: Any role with access to the Administrator mode

Required permissions: None

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for the When scheduling package payments setting in the Packages section.

  3. Select the Card on file is mandatory option.

  4. Click Save.

Impacts and considerations

Adding a card on file streamlines scheduled collections and simplifies the checkout process. However, the processing fees involved are higher.

Make selection of template for custom packages mandatory

While creating a custom package, your front-desk staff can use custom package templates to prefill details such as services, products, price, and expiration.

Required roles: Any role with access to the Administrator mode

Required permissions: None

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for the When creating custom packages setting in the Packages section.

  3. Select the Template selection is mandatory option.

  4. Click Save.

If you want to create packages without any prefilled details, select the Template selection is optional option.

Make selection of package category mandatory

Package categories help you classify your packages according to type on your Webstore and POS. You can make it mandatory to select a package category during package creation.

Required roles: Any role with access to the Administrator mode

Required permissions: None

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for and select the Make it mandatory to add package category setting in the Packages section.

  3. Enable this setting.

  4. Click Save.

Enable offer packages

Packages with free services can help you attract new customers and increase customer loyalty. By offering packages with free services, you can encourage guests to book more services. For example, you can create an offer package that gives three free services on the purchase of five services. To enable offer packages, do the following:

Required permissions: None

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for and select the Enable Offer packages setting in the Packages section.

  3. Enable this setting.

  4. Click Save.

Enable one-time offer for packages

One-time offers are special promotions only available once to specific guests. They are often used to encourage immediate purchase of a package or membership or upgrade to a more expensive membership or package. You can use one-time offers as special promotions to draw new guests or upsell to existing guests.

Required roles: Any role with access to the Administrator mode

Required permissions: None

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for and select the Enable one-time offer for packages setting in the Packages section.

  3. Enable this setting.

  4. Click Save.

Impacts and considerations
  • After you enable this setting and create at least one one-time offer package, you cannot turn off this setting.

Enable payment scheduling in series and custom packages

You can allow your guests to pay for a package in installments and as per a schedule. This is applicable only for series and custom packages (both regular package and template). To enable payment scheduling, do the following:

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for and select the Enable payment scheduling in Series and Custom packages (Offer & Template) setting in the Packages section.

  3. Enable this setting.

  4. Click Save.

  • After you enable this setting, you cannot turn it off.

Allow the addition of a custom payment while refunding a package with scheduled payments

When refunding and closing a scheduled package with pending installments, your front-desk staff can add a new custom payment type to add a payment for the pending amount and set the invoice due amount to zero. After this, they can proceed with a refund and closure of the package. To allow the addition of a custom payment, do the following:

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for select the Add custom payment when closing a package with schedules upon refund setting in the Packages section.

  3. Enable this setting.

  4. Click Save.

  • After you enable this setting, you cannot turn it off.

Enable selection of package validity models

While creating a package, you can choose a validity model and specify details about the validity. Models include fixed value, the sum of all service frequencies, and so on. To enable the selection of models, do the following:

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for and select the Show validity models for packages setting in the Packages section.

  3. Enable this setting.

  4. Click Save.
