Payments using cards have become ubiquitous. While it makes life easy for guests, businesses incur costs on every transaction. In some countries, it is now legal to pass on these transaction fees to the guests.

Things to remember
After you enable this feature, Zenoti automatically identifies the card provider and computes the surcharge accordingly.
Surcharge fees allow businesses to pass credit/debit card fees to customers, but they must comply with regulations and clearly disclose these charges.
The front-desk executive will see a banner on the invoice screen informing them that surcharge fees have been applied and details on how the fees are calculated for each card provider.
You can pass on a surcharge to customers only if you are using Adyen as your center's payment processor.
This functionality is available for Amex, Visa, Mastercard, and EFTPOS cards.
Surcharge fees passed on to guests cannot exceed Zenoti's processing fees for transactions with cards that are not present on file.
Guests will see these surcharges clearly displayed on all invoices and payment receipts, ensuring transparency in every transaction.
For memberships, prepaid cards, and gift cards, the surcharge fee is not part of the service amount.
For example, if the surcharge on a $100 membership is 2%, the guest pays $102 but can avail of services for $100 only.
When processing the refund of an item, the surcharge fee will also be refunded. If the invoice has multiple items, the surcharge refund amount is calculated pro rata.
