Member pricing in gift cards
Member pricing allows businesses to offer services, day packages, amount pre-defined gift cards at a discounted rate to members. When members purchase a gift card for a specific service, it’s priced at the member rate.
When a Member price is configured, it will be displayed alongside the Sale price, with the Sale price slashed for Members during online bookings and on the WebPOS.
Member pricing applies to custom service gift cards, custom day package gift cards, and predefined amount gift cards. However, it does not apply to predefined service or day package gift cards. Member-priced gift cards store the amount paid by the member, allowing recipients to redeem them for the full value of services or day packages, with tracking mechanism the business may have at the front desk. Member pricing on predefined gift cards allows their members to enjoy reduced rates on predefined options.
For example: Members purchase a Swedish massage service gift card at a member rate (For example: $79.95 for an original service price of $100). The gift card stores this amount, while a front-desk tracking mechanism supports redemption for non-member guests at the full service value.
The member purchase price is stored in the Gift card to avoid the below scenario:
If the actual price of the service or package is stored in the card (For example: $100), the member will be able to redeem the service in the center at $79.95 and be left with an additional $20.05 left in their card for every gift card purchased and redeemed for that service.
For Hybrid Memberships, only the reduced member price is displayed, avoiding any itemized discount on receipts. For services having a zero-dollar member benefit, be cautious, as gift cards created with these benefits will carry no value.
Member pricing for day packages
Member pricing for day packages helps drive sales for higher-value packages by offering them to members at exclusive rates.
Businesses can set a member price for each day package at either the organization or center level. For members, the regular sale price will appear slashed with the reduced rate clearly displayed beside it. The purchase and redemption process is the same as other services, ensuring a seamless workflow.
For Hybrid Memberships, only the reduced member price is displayed, avoiding any itemized discount on receipts. For services having a zero-dollar member benefit, be cautious, as gift cards created with these benefits will carry no value.
Note
The discounted member price for day packages is visible during the POS checkout process, reflecting the reduced rate for the member.
Member pricing for services
Member pricing for services allows members to book services at reduced rates, offering an advantage over standard pricing. Members with active memberships can view discounted prices in both online booking portals and point-of-sale (POS) .
Organizations can configure a separate member price for each service, accessible via the Services settings. Members see the reduced rate, and the regular sale price may be shown slashed, helping emphasize the discount. For Hybrid Memberships, only the reduced member price is displayed, avoiding any itemized discount on receipts.
Note
For services having a zero-dollar member benefit, be cautious, as gift cards created with these benefits will carry no value.
