Guide to Zenoti Smart Card Repayments Using AutoPay or Manual Pay
This article explains how the Zenoti Smart Card, a secured credit card linked to the Zenoti Wallet, supports two repayment methods: AutoPay and Manual Repayment, with AutoPay as the default and recommended option.. You’ll learn how the card works, how to choose and manage your repayment preferences, and how it helps build your credit while preventing debt.
Overview
Zenoti Smart Card is a secured credit card designed to offer financial control, convenience, and credit-building opportunities to employees using Zenoti Wallet. Unlike traditional credit cards, the Smart Card only allows spending based on your existing Wallet balance. This ensures you never go into debt, while still enjoying the benefits of credit usage.
Users can select either:
AutoPay, for seamless, automatic repayment of card balances that also reduces the risk of missed deadlines which could affect your credit score.
Manual Repayment, available if you choose to handle repayments manually, though this requires additional responsibility.
This setup promotes transparency, prevents overspending, and empowers users to develop strong financial habits.
How Zenoti Smart Card works
When you activate and start using the Zenoti Smart Card, your Zenoti Wallet balance becomes your spending limit. For instance, if your Wallet contains $300, you can spend up to $300 using the card.
Every time you make a purchase with the Smart Card, the exact amount you spend is reserved (or locked) from your Wallet. This reserved amount cannot be used for anything else during the billing cycle.
At the end of each billing cycle, you must repay the reserved amount. You can do this in two ways:
Automatically, using the AutoPay setting
Manually, by tapping the Pay Now button in the myZen app
Note
No new funds are withdrawn for repayment—only the already reserved funds are used.
Once the reserved amount is paid—either automatically or manually—it is marked as repaid, and the funds are released from the reserved status. Choose a repayment option.
AutoPay (Recommended)
AutoPay is the default and recommended repayment option. When the billing cycle ends, the reserved funds are automatically applied to your Smart Card balance. This means:
You don’t have to take any manual action.
Payments are always made on time.
Positive credit activity is consistently reported.
Your Smart Card functions like a debit card—with the credit-building benefits of a secured card
You can enable AutoPay when applying for the Smart Card or anytime later by visiting Card Settings in the myZenApp.
Note
If AutoPay is off, Zenoti sends you reminders to confirm your Smart Card payment. You’ll get email, push, and SMS alerts from the day your bill is generated (Day 0) through Day 21. The bill amount is already reserved in your wallet — just confirm it to avoid credit score impact. If you turn on AutoPay, you’ll stop getting these reminders and your payments will happen automatically.
Manual repayment
If you prefer to confirm payments yourself, you can switch to manual repayment. At the end of each billing cycle, a Pay Now button will appear in the myZen app. Tapping it will apply the reserved funds to your balance. Keep in mind:
You’ll have a 21-day grace period to complete repayment.
If you miss the grace period, your card may be temporarily suspended.
This action doesn’t withdraw new funds—it only applies the funds that were already reserved.
This method requires proactive management and could affect your credit score if missed.
Why AutoPay is the better option
AutoPay is strongly recommended because it:
Helps you make timely payments effortlessly.
Prevents accidental missed repayments.
Supports consistent, positive credit reporting.
Feels like using a debit card, while improving your credit profile.
To maintain your credit health, we recommend keeping AutoPay enabled at all times.
Understand your spending limits
You can only spend what’s available in your Zenoti Wallet. This prevents overspending and helps you stay within your financial means.
For example, if you have $300 in your Wallet:
You spend $50 using the Smart Card, $50 is immediately reserved.
Your remaining available balance is now $250.
At the end of the month, the $50 is repaid (automatically or manually).
This approach ensures full transparency and control, without risk of debt.
Frequently asked questions
Q. What happens if I forget to repay manually within the 21-day grace period?
A. If you do not repay within the 21-day grace period, your Smart Card may be temporarily suspended until repayment is completed. This could also negatively impact your credit score.
Q. Can I spend more than my Wallet balance?
A. No. Your spending limit is strictly tied to your available Wallet balance.
Q. Can I turn off AutoPay later?
A. You can disable AutoPay at anytime in the myZen app. Switch to manual repayment and use the one-click Pay Now option within the 21-day grace period. However, we do not recommend disabling AutoPay. Turning it off increases the risk of missed repayments, which may negatively affect your credit profile.
Q. What happens to reserved funds if I don’t use the card again?
A. The reserved funds remain locked until the billing cycle ends. They are either applied automatically (if AutoPay is on) or await manual repayment.
Q. Will my credit score be impacted if I never enable AutoPay?
A. Not directly. But missing repayments or leaving funds reserved too long can impact your credit profile. AutoPay helps ensure steady, positive credit reporting.
