Important
This is a legacy report. Businesses that have signed up with Zenoti after April 2022 do not have access to this report.
Package liability for a center is the balance worth of services the center is liable to guests.
Center managers can use this report to view the liability balance after sale, redemption, refund, and expiry of packages across centers in the organization during the date range.
The report is generated based on the package sale date. If the Enable redemptions on Open packages organization-level setting is enabled, you will see the Packages filtered by filter with two options:
Sale Date: Packages that are fully paid and invoices are closed
Example: A $100 package was sold on January 1, 2023. The package was fully paid on the same day and the invoice was closed. On any day, the center is liable to provide $100 worth of services to the guest.
Payment Date: Packages that are partially paid and invoices are either open or closed
Example: A $100 package was sold on January 1, 2023. The guest made three partial payments but did not redeem any of the services of the package during the three days. The center's liability on each day is as follows,
Day 1: Guest paid $20; Center's liability is $20
Day 2: Guest paid $30; Center's liability is $50 ($20+$30), which is the sum of payments made to date
Day 3: Guest paid $50; Center's liability is $100 ($20+$30+$50, as full payment is recognized
If the package is bought in one center and payment is done at another center, this report considers only the balance in the center where the package was sold and not in the center where the payment was made.
If the package has initial recognition configured, this report deducts the initial recognition from the amount paid by the guest and then shows only the balance amount.
If the open invoice contains a product and a package, Zenoti does not apportion the paid amount to both package and product in this report. First, the payment is given to the product and the remaining amount is taken for the package.
