Product Sales Financial report

The Sales - Product report provides you details of all the products sold at the current center for a specific sale date (or date range). You can view the sale amount realized for the product, the guest who purchased the product, the employee who sold it, and its payment details.

  1. Select the center for which you want to run the report.

  2. On the main menu, click the Reports tab.

  3. In the left-hand side menu, click Finance.

  4. From the filter, select Sales.

  5. From the list of reports, click Sales – Product.

    The report opens in a new tab.

  6. To view the report, select the required filter criteria and click Refresh.

Report Name

List of reports for sales

Select Sales - Product as the name of the report.

Business Unit

List of business units

Select the desired business unit.

If you want to view sales of all products across all business units, select All.

Example: Hair Treatment, Skin Care, and Hand Care.

Sale Date

  • Today

  • Last 7 days

  • Last 14 days

  • 1 month

  • 2 months

  • 3 months

  • 6 months

  • Custom

Select the date on which the invoice was generated.

Select Custom to select a date range.

Note

For custom dates, you can view data for a maximum date range of 6 months at a time. For example, if you wish to see data from January to August, first view data from January to June and then view data from July to August.

Invoice Status

  • All

  • Closed

  • Open

Select the status of the invoice. When an appointment is booked, an invoice is created for it with open status. After the payment is made, the invoice moves to closed status.

Note

An open invoice is not considered in the employee payroll. Select All to view the sale details of all the invoices.

Sold By

List of all employees

To view the products sold by a specific employee, select the employee name.

If you want to view sales done by all employees in the current center, select All.

Product Name, Tag

To view the sales of a particular product, enter the product name or tag in the field.

Tip

If you want to view the sales of all the products at the current center, leave this field blank.

Invoice No.

Note

This label can be different based on your organization set up.

A number generated by Zenoti when a sale instance is initiated to sell the product.

Note

Click the invoice number to view the invoice details.

Product Name

The name of the product. For example, Anti-wrinkle cream.

Note

Click the product name to view the product details.

Product Code

A unique identifier assigned to the product.

Receipt No.

Note

This label can be different based on your organization set up.

A number auto-generated by Zenoti when the invoice is closed.

Note

For open invoices, the receipt number is 0. This is because a receipt number is generated only after full payment is received.

Category

The category to which the product belongs.

For example, in Zenoti your business may have a category such as Hair Care.

Sub Category

The subcategory to which the product belongs.

For example, in Zenoti your business may have a subcategory such as Hair Styling for the category, Hair Care.

Vendor

Note

If you do not see this filter, reach out to Zenoti to enable it for your business.

The name of the vendor with which the product is associated.

Sale Date

The date on which the product was sold.

Guest

The name of the guest who purchased the product.

Guest Center

The center with which the guest profile is currently associated.

Employee Code

The unique identifier of the employee who sold the product.

Sold By

The name of the employee who sold the product.

Quantity

The number of products sold in the invoice.

Promotion

The name of the promotion such as discount, manual adjustment, or liability in case of redemption. This column can have one of the following values:

  • Manual: Discount provided on the invoice

  • Price Adjusted: Price adjusted on the invoice

  • Campaign or Discount Name: Name of the campaign or discount applied on the invoice

  • Liability Type and Name: Type and name of the liability.

    For example, Membership: Monthly Membership

  • Cancellation Fee or No Show Fee, if charged

Price

The product sale price based on one of the following:

  • Product Price as defined under Resource > Products> Price at the center level.

  • Adjusted Price if the price was manually adjusted

Note

In this case, the Promotion column will be ‘Price Adjusted'.

Discount

The amount of discount provided on the product sale price.

Note

Redemptions are not considered as discounts.

Membership Redemption

The amount redeemed for the product purchased using membership credits (if the liability sale is taxed).

Prepaid Card Redemption

The amount redeemed for the product purchased using a prepaid card.

Cashback Redemption

The amount redeemed for the product purchased using a cashback coupon.

Net Price

The expected amount to be paid by the guest excluding tax. It is calculated as: Net Price = Product Sale Price - (Discount + Redemption)

Tax

The amount of tax payable by the guest. It is calculated on the Net Price or Product Sale Price based on the tax definition.

Shipping Charge

The charge levied for shipping the product to the guest.

Note

This is applicable only to online retail purchases.

Package Redemption

The value of the package benefits redeemed to purchase the product.

Price Paid

The total amount paid by the guest for the service.

Sale Value

The price at which the item is sold and it is either due or collected through Cash, Card, Check, or Custom-Financial.

Note

In case of redemptions, this column is zero. However, if your business has enabled the Include Redemption in Sales org level setting, you will see the redemption value as the sale value.

Payment Type

The mode of payment used by the guest. It can be column can be any one of the following:

  • Cash

  • CC Online

  • CC Offline

  • Check

  • Custom

For liabilities, this column can be:

  • Membership Name in case of payments made using memberships credits

  • Gift Card Number in case of payments made using gift cards

  • Prepaid Card Number in case of payments made using prepaid cards

  • Loyalty Points in case of payments made using loyalty points

Note

If the liability sale was not taxed, the redemption will show as payment type, otherwise it will show in that specific redemption column.

Created By

The name of the employee who created the invoice.

Status

Select the status of the invoice.

When a sale instance is initiated, an invoice is created for it with open status. After the payment is made, the invoice moves to the closed status.

Note

An open invoice is not considered in the employee payroll. SelectAll to view the sale details of all the invoices.

Closed On

The date when the invoice was closed. If the invoice was reopened and closed, this column is updated with the new date.

Guest Code

A unique identifier associated with the guest. It is generated by Zenoti, as configured by your business.

First Visit

Indicates if this visit was the guest’s first visit with a Yes or a No.

Member

Indicates if the guest has an active membership with a Yes or No.

Closed By

The name of the employee who closed the invoice. If the invoice was reopened and closed by another employee, this column is updated with the employee name who closed the invoice last.

Business Unit

The business unit to which the product belongs.
