Configure membership waive rules

One way to reduce membership cancellations is by waiving membership payments. While waiving membership payments, you can choose whether or not to award service credits to guests.

Required roles: Any role with access to the Administrator mode

Required permissions: None

Allow award of service credits for membership waivers
  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for the Default Waive type setting in the Memberships section.

  3. To award service credits for membership payment waives, select the Award service credits checkbox.

  4. Click Save.

If you do not want to award service credits, select the Do not award service credits option.

Impacts and considerations
  • Your front-desk staff can override this setting while waiving a payment and choose whether or not to award service credits to guests on the membership Waive Collections page.

Create waive reasons

While waiving a membership payment, your front-desk staff member has to select the reason for the waiver. To create waive reasons, do the following:

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for and select Waive reasons in the Memberships section.

  3. To create a new reason, click Add.

  4. Enter a name. Optionally, enter a code and description.

  5. To set the reason in active mode, select the Active checkbox.

  6. To make this reason available on the Webstore, select the Use In Online Booking checkbox.

  7. Click Save.

You can also edit existing waive reasons from the Waive reasons list.

At the center level, you can view the existing waive reasons from the Waive reasons list.
