Opportunity custom field settings

You can use this feature to create custom fields to capture additional information for an opportunity.

To create custom fields, follow these steps:

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for and select Opportunity custom fields in the Opportunity section.

  3. Click Opportunity custom fields.

  4. Click Add Field. The Add New Field dialog appears.

  5. Enter the field name, code, and description.

  6. Select the field type. For example, you can select the field type as Label.

  7. Enter the display order.

  8. To group this field with other fields, enter a group name and group display order.

  9. Select if you want to show this field on its own in a single row.

  10. Click Add. The Add New Field dialog closes, and the newly created field appears on the grid.

    If you want to add more fields, in the Add New Field dialog, click Add & Continue and follow steps 5 to 10 again.

  11. Click Save.

Manage groups

To manage existing groups or add new ones, follow these steps:

  1. In the Opportunity custom fields page, click Manage groups.

  2. Enter the group name and order.

  3. From the Color drop-down list, assign a color to your group.

  4. Click Add group.

  5. Click Save.
