Manage earnings

View tips payout status

  1. Open the MyZen app.

  2. Tap My Earnings and go to Tips.

    Here you can open and view the status of each tips payout and the tips convenience fee deducted by the employer on each payout.

View commission metrics for a pay period

  1. Open the MyZen app.

  2. Tap Earnings and go to Commissions.

    You also view commission details on the home page.

  3. You can choose to view commissions for a previous or current pay period. It shows you:

    • Total commissions earned during the selected pay period

    • Total commissions broken down from services, product, gift cards, memberships etc.

  4. To view details for commissionable revenue, tap View Commissionable Revenue.

    Commissionable revenue is the revenue that is generated by the service performed by a provider, based on which their commission is calculated. More information.

Refresh commission data

Commission data on the Earnings screen is calculated once per day and can be refreshed to include invoices closed earlier the same day. The first time an employee at a center opens the Earnings screen on a given day, Zenoti calculates commissions through the end of the previous day in the center's local time. This calculation runs once per center each day, so employees who open the screen later that day see the same result. The Calculated up to label below the earnings summary shows the date and time through which commissions are calculated.

To include commissions from invoices closed earlier the same day, tap the refresh icon. Wait for the refresh to complete. The Calculated up to timestamp updates to the current time.

Handling tip discrepancies and adjustments

As a stylist or service provider, it's important to receive your tips accurately and on time. Occasionally, discrepancies can arise, especially when adjustments or transfers of tips occur after the daily payout process in Zenoti.

To ensure you are well-prepared to handle such situations, refer to the guidelines below:

  1. Check the timing of adjustments: If an adjustment or transfer of tips was made after the daily payout, it might not show up immediately on your myZen card or Zenoti Wallet. The system processes these changes during the next payout cycle.

  2. Wait for the next payout: Any corrections made after the payout will be resolved in the following payout. We recommend waiting until the next scheduled payout to see if the tip appears in your wallet.

  3. Understand common scenarios 

    • Incorrect tip allocation: A tip intended for you might be mistakenly credited to another employee. If this is corrected after the payout, you'll see the adjustment in the next cycle. Conversely, a tip intended for another employee might be mistakenly credited to you. If this error is corrected after the payout, you may notice an adjustment in the next cycle.

    • Delayed tip entry: Sometimes, tips are entered into the system after the payout has already been processed. These will also be reflected in the next payout.

    • System errors: Occasionally, system glitches might cause discrepancies. These are typically resolved by the next payout once identified and corrected.
