Create a Facility
A facility is the physical space that holds one or more amenities. It defines the total capacity of the space, sets the hours during which it is available for booking, and controls whether it appears in the online catalog. Amenities are the individual bookable resources within a facility.
For example, a Swimming Pool is a facility. Within it, Lane 1, Lane 2, and Lane 3 are the amenities that guests and staff book. The facility's capacity controls how many of those lanes can be occupied at the same time. Another example: a Tennis Ground is a facility, with Court 1 and Court 2 as its amenities.
You must create a facility before you can create an amenity, because every amenity must be mapped to a facility. A facility without amenities mapped to it will not appear as a bookable option in the appointment book.
To create a facility:
Ensure you are working at the center level.
Navigate to Configurations > Business Details.
Select Business Setup > Facilities.
Click Add.
Complete each tab as described below, clicking Save on each tab to apply your changes.
General tab
The General tab defines the facility's identity and capacity. Facility Name and Facility Code are required fields.
In Facility Name, enter a unique, descriptive name. This is a required field. The name appears in the appointment book, booking wizard, and reporting. Use a clear identifier such as Rooftop Pool or Badminton Court 1.
In Facility Code, enter a short alphanumeric identifier. This is a required field used in search and exports.
In Description, enter a plain-text summary of the facility's purpose. This field is for internal reference only.
In Capacity, enter a whole number for the maximum number of guests who can use this facility at the same time. This figure is what Capacity Consumption on each amenity is measured against. For example, a capacity of 8 with two amenities, each consuming 2, allows four simultaneous bookings.
From Room Category, select the applicable category from the dropdown. Room categories are configured under Business Details and help group facilities in reporting.
Select Print in bill to include the facility name on the customer invoice at checkout.
Click Save.
Amenities tab
The Amenities tab links amenity categories to this facility. Use the center dropdown to select the applicable center, then select the checkboxes next to the amenity categories you want to associate.
Note
If any of the associated amenities are catalog-enabled, ensure that the Show in Catalog option is also enabled for this facility on the Catalog tab.
From the center dropdown, select Current Center or the applicable center.
Select the checkboxes next to the amenity categories to associate with this facility.
Click Save.
Catalog tab
The Catalog tab controls whether the facility appears in the customer-facing catalog for online booking.
Select Show in Catalog to make the facility visible for booking.
Enter a Display Name that will appear in the catalog.
Click Save.
