Configure and Use the Bonus Gift Card Email Template
This article explains how to configure and manage the Bonus Gift Card email template in Zenoti, including enabling the template, editing content, and ensuring it is triggered correctly for POS and Webstore purchases.
Overview
Bonus Gift Cards are promotional cards issued when a guest qualifies for a campaign (for example, “Buy $100, Get $20 Bonus”). Since promotional cards are legally different from standard gift cards, they must:
Clearly indicate promotional usage.
Display expiration details (if applicable).
Avoid being labelled as a standard “Gift Card.”
Be delivered as a transactional email.
Zenoti provides a dedicated Bonus Gift Card template under Notifications to ensure legal compliance and purchase-channel parity.
Prerequisites
Gift Cards and Bonus Gift Card promotions are configured.
Email notifications are enabled at the organization level.
Enable the Bonus Gift Card Template
At the organization level, navigate to Configuration > Notifications > Templates for email and text.
Scroll to Bonus Gift Card.
Click Edit.
At the top-right of the Bonus Gift Card template, turn on the Email toggle.
This ensures that Zenoti can send Bonus GC emails when triggered.
Under Select Content Language:
Choose the appropriate language (for example, English – United States).
Select Use this language template.
Configure additional languages if required.
Update the subject line to clearly indicate promotional usage.
Update the Email Body (HTML Section).
Include the following macros:

Activation Date: [ActivationDate]
