Macros in the First Appointment Reminder notification

  • What is the notification type?

    Transactional

  • What does the first appointment reminder do?

    Reminds guests of an upcoming appointment.

  • When is the first appointment reminder sent?

    Sent at a particular time, based on the organization-level settings, Send first reminder for appointment and When should the first reminder be sent. These configurations can be overridden at the center level.

  • What communication methods can you configure for the first appointment reminder?

    You can configure an email and a text template.

The table below describes the macros available in the first appointment reminder notification. Use these macros to customize or personalize the notification. For example, the [CenterName] macro gets replaced with the actual center’s name.

Link the guest has to click to cancel the appointment.

[CenterState]

State in which the center is located.

[CenterCity]

The city in which the center is located.

[AppCost]

Sum of all costs in the appointment (services, products).

[CenterName]

Name of the center where the appointment was booked.

[Visits]

Number of past visits of the guest.

[DownloadLink]

Link to download the Customer Mobile Application (if enabled by the organization) via Play Store or App Store.

[DayOfAppointment]

Day on which the appointment is scheduled.

[CenterZip]

Zipcode of the center where the appointment was booked.

[FirstName]

Guest's first name.

[StartTime]

Start time of the appointment.

[CenterPhone]

The phone number of the center.

[CenterPhone2]

The secondary phone number of the center.

[CenterAddlData1]

Additional center information provided in the Additional Text field in the guest's base center Settings > Invoice > Receipts.

[CenterAddress]

Address of the center.

[EndTime]

End time of the appointment.

[Duration]

Duration of the appointment.

[TreatmentList]

 List of services scheduled for the appointment.

[ServiceTherapistList]

 List of therapists scheduled to perform the services in the appointment; also shows the service name.

[ServiceTherapistTimeList]

Scheduled time for the service and the service name; includes the therapist’s name.

[CenterCountry]

Country where the center is located.

[AppDate]

Date of the appointment.

[LastName]

Guest's last name.

[OrgName]

Name of the center’s organization where the appointment was booked.

[Name]

Guest's first and last name.

[InvoiceComments]

Any notes or information about the invoice that you want to share with your guests.

[CenterE-mail]

Email address of the guest's base center.

[MailUnsubscribeLink]

Link to unsubscribe from transactional emails. Once unsubscribed, no transaction-related email will be sent (including appointment-related emails).

[GuestDataLink]

Link to the guest data form that your guests can use to specify their personal information.

[ServiceDataLink]

Link to the service data form (v1, v2, or v3) that your guests can use to specify any additional data related to a service. For example, to effectively administer a hair spa service, you may need to know the guest’s hair type, or for a customized facial, you would want to know and store the guest’s skin type.

Note

Starting June 17, 2025, the [ServiceCustomDataLinks] macro is no longer supported in notifications. If your business uses the [ServiceCustomDataLinks] macro, it will return the same output as [ServiceDataLink].

[FirstServiceFormLink]

Link to all service data forms related to all services in an appointment group. This macro triggers a single link using which the guest can access all forms.

[ConfirmLink]

Link the guest has to click to confirmation of the appointment.

[VideoURl]

Businesses that have service-specific videos for say, pre- and post-care instructions, would like guests to watch videos related to before/after treatment. In such cases, they can use this macro.

The macros get replaced with the Video ID entered in the service-catalog tab.

[Gender]

Gender of the guest.

[GoogleCalendarLink]

Google Calendar Link that the guest receives in the Appointment Reminder notification. Guests click this link to open the Google Calendar and then click Save to save the appointment to their calendar.

[GCalStartTime]

Start time of the appointment on the Google Calendar.

[GCalEndTime]

End time of the appointment on the Google Calendar.

[EmailVirtualAppointmentLink]

Email links for virtual appointments configured manually.

[SMSVirtualAppointmentLink]

Message/text links for virtual appointments configured manually.

[TimeZoneCenter]

Time zone of the center where the appointment was booked.

[WhatsAppNumberLink]

Link to initiate WhatsApp communication using the provided or configured contact number.

[CancellationKeyword]

Text keyword to the cancel the appointment.

[GuestReferralCode]

Referral code of referrer.

[ServiceNameVideoLinkList]

Link to start Zoom call.

[WhatsAppConsent]

Consent to receive WhatsApp communication.

[ServiceAddlData1]

Macro for displaying additional service information. Displays data entered in the Additional Data 1 field while configuring Services.

[ServiceAddlData2]

Macro for displaying additional service information. Displays data entered in the Additional Data 2 field while configuring Services.

[PrecareInstructions]

Preconfigured pre care instructions that are associated to the service. Enable pre and post care instructions at the Organization level to access this macro for email/text notifications.

[PostcareInstructions]

Preconfigured post care instructions that are associated to the service. Enable pre and post care instructions at the Organization level to access this macro for email/text notifications.

[GeneralInstructions]

Preconfigured general instructions associated to the service.
