Configure access outside geofence
Business owners can define how employees can access the Zenoti Mobile and MyZen apps outside the specified geofence area.
Required roles: Any role with access to the Administrator mode
Required permissions: None
At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.
Search for and select Access outside geofence.
You can either select one of the two options:
Block access to Zenoti Mobile and MyZen outside geofence.
If this setting is enabled, employees can't access the apps outside the defined geofence.
Provide restricted access to Zenoti Mobile and MyZen outside geofence.
If this setting is enabled, employees can access and view data on the apps. However, most functionalities like managing bookings, managing guests, taking payments, and such are restricted outside the geofence.
After you've enabled either of the options based on your business preference, click Save.
Enable Zenoti Mobile and MyZen access to employees outside the geofence
Some employee roles may require access to Zenoti Mobile and MyZen app outside the defined geofence. For these scenarios, you can configure the roles and permission for the specific employees to grant this access.
Required roles: Owner
At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.
Select the Security option and navigate to Security roles.
Search for and select the employee role for which the access is required.
On the General tab, enable the Can access all data outside geofence region on Zenoti Mobile and MyZen option.
Click Save.
Impacts and considerations
Blocking access to ZMA and MyZen outside geofence can limit the ability of employees to work remotely or during commutes.
Providing access to ZMA and MyZen outside geofence ensures critical work information is available when needed urgently.
Business owners can only enable certain employee roles to access Zenoti Mobile and MyZen app outside the defined geofence.
