Modify employee schedules to accommodate business disruptions

If you are reducing working hours or temporarily closing your center, you must update employee schedules. This ensures that guests do not inadvertently book appointments outside the new business hours or on the days you are closed, whether they book online or by calling in.

  1. To indicate employee unavailability, create a weekly schedule for employees and set the dates or days as Special Leave for updated days of operations.

Similarly, update the existing employee schedules with the Working(Update schedule) to accommodate new working hours. For more information refer to create weekly employee schedules for your business.

    Note

If there are already scheduled appointments during the affected times, you must manually reschedule or cancel those appointments. When an employee is marked on leave, regardless of the leave type, they become unavailable for bookings in the Appointment Book. The Zenoti will prevent appointments from being scheduled during the leave period.

  2. Zenoti saves the schedule that applies only for a single week. To update this schedule for future dates, copy the existing schedule for future weeks. Refer to copy employee schedules.

The employee's schedule is saved as special leave, making them unavailable on the Appointment Book. Similarly, updated schedules reflect the employees' new availability or working hours.
