FAQ and troubleshooting
If your business has packages that are associated with any center, you may find inactive packages appear in the filter Active in any center in org.
Steps to replicate
Filter by Inactive in all centers. You see no records, meaning there are no inactive packages across your centers.
Filter by Active in any center and org. Notice a package that appears in this filter, even though it is inactive.
Inactive packages may appear in the filter Active in any center or org because they are associated with a center.
You can change services, quantity, and price only for an existing Custom package. For this, you need to have the Edit permission for Custom Packages.
To access the permission
At the organizational level, navigate to Configuration > Security > Security Roles. Click a Role > Permissions tab > Marketing Manager > Custom Packages > Edit (checkbox must be selected).
Users with the Extend Grace Period permission can modify the grace period for a package. An administrator or owner must turn on this permission from organizational level, navigate to Configuration > Security > Security Roles Click a Role > Permissions tab > Administrator section > Packages section.
To update the grace period, authorized users can go to the Appointment Book > Search for a guest's profile > click the Packages tab > Locate the appropriate package > click Expiration with Grace. In the window that opens, such authorized users can update the dates using the Calendar.
To add or change a tax type associated to a Custom Package:
Take the following steps:
At the center level, click the Configuration icon.
Search for and select Tax groups .
Select checkboxes for tax groups, as required
Click Save.
To create tax groups:
Take the following steps:
At the organization level, click the Configurationicon.
Search for and select Tax Groups.
Click Add (As part of creating the Tax Group, ensure that you select the Active checkbox in the General tab and associate the required Centers in the Centers tab).
Only users with appropriate permissions can modify a package's start date or expiration date.
To turn on this permission, administrators must go to Organizational level >Configuration > Security > Security Roles> Role > Permissions tab > Administrator section > Packages > Extend (select checkbox).
At the organization level, click the Master data icon.
Navigate to Packages.
On the Manage Packages page, search and select the required package.
To set the expiry criteria for your package, select the necessary option in the Validity section.
You can select the validity for a package from three options. Select one of the following criteria.
Fixed Expiry: Enter the number of days to define validity.
Define Expiry Date: Select a particular date from the calendar for the expiry.
To update the date using the calendar, click the date field.
Never expires
Click Save.
To check the liability for Packages in a specific time period:
Go to Reports > Finance > Accounting > Liability - Packages > Select the time period from the filter criteria > Refresh.
To view a list of packages that expire in a given month:
Go to Marketing > Reports > Packages > Expirations > Select filter criteria as appropriate > Enter the name of the Package > Refresh.
If the Appointment Book does not reflect a Package that you created, check whether:
The date on which you are trying to view the package falls between the Booking Dates configured for the Package. You can check this from Center level > Mastericon > Resources > Packages > Name of the package > General > Booking Dates.
Note
Packages are configured at the Organizational level, you cannot edit details at the Center level.
The package is associated with your Center. You can check this from Organization level > Master dataicon > Packages > Name of the package > Centers tab > Center name (The checkbox for your Center must be selected).
The services associated with the Package are offered at your center.
You can view a list of services offered as part of the Package from the Center level > Master dataicon > Packages > Name of the package > Services tab.
Note
Packages are configured at the Organizational level, you cannot edit details at the Center level.
