Provider utilization rate

The provider utilization rate is calculated using the formula: (Service hours + Paid block-out time + Recovery time) / Scheduled hours. Service hours include the time taken for all scheduled appointments for the day, excluding those that are no-shows, canceled, or deleted.

To reconcile scheduled hours, paid and unpaid block out hours, and serviced hours, follow these steps:

  1. To open the Attendancereport, click View reports .

  2. From the Schedule status list, select all the options.

  3. Download the report in Excel format.

  4. To determine the scheduled hours, filter columns with Scheduled Status as Working. Add the values in the Scheduled Hours column.

  5. To determine the paid block out hours and unpaid block out hours, add the values in Block Out Hours (Paid) and Block Out Hours (Unpaid) columns respectively.

  6. To determine the total serviced hours, add the values in the Serviced Hours column.

To reconcile recovery hours, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Reports -> Operational -> Appointments report.

  2. From the Date Type list, select Appointment Date.

  3. From the Appointment Status list, select Open, Confirmed, Closed, and Checked-in.

  4. Click Refresh.

  5. Export the report in Excel format.

  6. Filter columns with Add-on marked as No.

  7. Add up all Recovery Time values.

Note

If you can't find the column you need, you can customize the report view to include it.

To reconcile idle hours, calculate the value using this formula: Scheduled hours - (Paid block out hours + Unpaid block out hours + Recovery hours + Services hours)
