Purpose
Google Tag Manager/ Google Ads
_gcl_au
Present only when Google Ads conversion tracking is enabled via the center's Google Tag Manager setup. It stores a click identifier from Google Ads, allowing webstore purchases and bookings to be linked back to the ad click that drove them for reporting purposes.
Facebook(Meta)
_fbp
Present only when a Facebook Pixel ID is configured in the center's webstore settings (such as facebook_pixel_id, centerFBPixelId, or an organization-level Pixel). It identifies the browser to Meta so that webstore conversions, including bookings, memberships, and gift card purchases, can be tied back to Meta ad campaigns, support retargeting and lookalike audience creation, and serve as a signal for ad delivery optimization.
