What is an abandoned checkout in Zenoti?

An abandoned checkout occurs when a guest adds items such as services, gift cards, or memberships to their cart, proceeds to the final stages of booking or payment, but exits before confirming the transaction.

Can Zenoti send reminders to guests who abandon their cart?

Yes. Zenoti can send automatic email or SMS reminders to guests who abandon their cart. Ensure notification templates and relevant configurations are in place for this feature to work.

Accessing the Abandoned Checkout Report

How do I access the Abandoned Checkout report?

To access the Abandoned Checkout report:

  1. Navigate to the center level.

  2. Go to Marketing > Abandoned Checkouts.

  3. Set your desired time-period filters to view summarized data.

  4. Click the report link on the right side to download detailed reports as Excel files.

The downloaded report includes client details and abandoned cart items.

Permissions and Access

Why can't I see the Abandoned Checkout report?

Access to the Abandoned Checkout report requires permissions granted at the organization level. If you cannot see the report, contact your admin team to enable access.

Important Considerations

Will I see abandoned carts from before the feature was enabled?

No. Abandoned cart tracking applies only after the feature is enabled for a location. Earlier carts will not appear retrospectively.

What do I need to configure for abandoned checkout tracking to work?

Ensure the following are in place:

  • Feature enablement for your location

  • Notification templates (email and SMS)

  • Relevant configurations for tracking activities
