Organization level gift card settings

Before you sell gift cards, they must first be configured in the Zenoti system. The gift card setup establishes the framework for the sale and redemption of gift cards in the Point of Sale (POS) window and online.

When you create a gift card promotion and activate it for your centers, Zenoti automatically provides bonus gift cards to guests who purchase gift cards during the promotion period. To relabel the bonus gift card, the following setting must be enabled:

Configure default option for emailing gift card to guests

To avoid sending unwanted emails to guests, you can set the default option to email a gift card to No when selling it on Point of Sale.

Required roles: Any role with access to the Administrator mode

Required permissions: None

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon

  2. Search for and select the Default email gift card option to NO setting in the Gift Cards section.

  3. Enable this setting.

  4. Click Save.

If you want to email gift cards to guests, then turn off this toggle.

Auto-generate Gift Card Number

The Auto-Generate Gift Card Number setting allows you to generate gift card numbers starting from a number you specify. This eliminates the need for manual entry, reduces errors, and ensures a secure and consistent process for issuing gift cards. You can also view the last generated number for reference.

To generate the gift card number automatically, follow these steps:

  1. At the organization level, click Configuration.

  2. Navigate to Gift cards > Gift card settings.

  3. Switch on the Auto generate gift card number toggle.

    Note

    Once enabled, you cannot disable this setting.

  4. Set the starting number for generated gift cards.

  5. Click Save.

Note

Businesses that sign up with Zenoti after March 2025 will not have access to this feature.

Enable Random Gift Card Number Generation

When enabled, this automatically generates a unique 17-digit gift card numbers for regular, predefined, and bonus gift cards sold through the POS. Once enabled, all newly issued gift cards will follow this format, while previously issued cards will remain valid.

To generate random 17-digit gift card numbers, follow these steps:

  1. At the organization level, click Configuration.

  2. Navigate to Gift cards > Gift card settings.

  3. Switch on the Enable random gift card number generation toggle.

    Note

    Once enabled, you cannot disable this setting.

  4. Click Save.
