Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Q. Why do I need to collect guest addresses for saved cards?
A. Address details are used for Address Verification Service (AVS). AVS helps reduce payment failures and fraud by matching the billing address with the cardholder’s bank records.
Q. What happens if a guest does not update their address?
A. If the guest does not add or correct their address, future transactions with the saved card may fail, leading to declined payments at checkout.
Q. Can I resend the address request to the same guest?
A. Yes. You can select the guest record again in the report and click Email Guests to resend the notification.
Q. Will guests see multiple notifications if I send more than once?
A. Yes, each time you trigger an email, the guest will receive a new request. To avoid confusion, use the Last Email Status option to check if a notification was already delivered before resending.
Q. Does the report include all saved cards for a guest?
A. Yes. If a guest has multiple saved cards, each card appears as a separate row in the report, allowing you to manage addresses for each one.
Q. Can I export this report for follow-up outside Zenoti?
A. Yes. You can use the export option to download the report data and share it with your team for offline tracking or communication.
