Configure OTP for redemptions

When these setting are enabled, OTP through SMS or email is required for redemption of packages, campaigns, memberships, and loyalty points. If you have enabled any one of the OTP methods or both, you will also have to set the expiry time for the OTP and select a preferred mode of sending OTP to guests.

Required roles: Any role with access to the Administrator mode.

Required permissions: None 

Enable OTP for redemption through SMS 

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for and select Enable one-time-password (OTP) for redemptions - SMS.

  3. Enable this setting.

  4. Click Save.

Enable OTP for redemption through email 

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for and select Enable one-time-password (OTP) for redemptions - Email.

  3. Enable this setting.

  4. Click Save.

If you want to disable OTP authorization for redemption, turn of the toggle for these settings.

Define OTP expiry

You can only set the OTP expiry duration if you have enabled OTP for redemption via SMS or email or both.

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search for and select Define expiry (in minutes).

  3. Enter the expiry duration for the OTP in minutes.

  4. Click Save.

Select preferred mode for OTP

You can only select preferred mode for OTP if you have enabled OTP for redemptions.

  1. At the organization level, click the Configurations icon.

  2. Search and select Preferred mode.

  3. From the drop-down list, select SMS or Email.

  4. Click Save.
