Redesigned Employee Schedule with Collaborative Schedule Planning

This article explains the redesigned Employee Schedule page in Zenoti, including the newly introduced Smart Schedule View and Collaborative Schedule Planning features. The new design streamlines scheduling operations and introduces draft-based schedule management.

If a spa wants to schedule therapists for a busy holiday season, the manager can draft schedules and sends them to therapists for review. Therapists confirm or suggest changes, ensuring everyone agrees before the schedule is published.

To enable the Smart Schedule View and Collaborative Schedule Planning, refer to the Configure Smart Schedule View article.

Create and publish schedules

  1. At the center level, navigate to Employees > Employee > Schedule.

  2. Right-click on the desired time block in the schedule grid.

  3. Select Add Event.

  4. Enter the following schedule details:

    • Status

    • Start time

    • End time

  5. Click Save.

  6. The schedule is saved as a draft. To send the draft to the employee for review or approval, click Send Draft.

    The employee receives notification on their MyZen application, informing them of the tentative schedule. They can choose to add comments, which appear directly on the web schedule entry.

  7. Once finalized, click Publish to update the live schedule.

Edit, copy, or delete published schedules

  1. Right-click any published schedule entry.

  2. Select the desired action:

    • Edit to modify schedule details.

    • Copy to duplicate the schedule to another time slot.

    • Delete to remove the schedule.

Impacts and considerations

  • Some features from the legacy schedule page are not available:

    • Filters

    • Room assignments

    • Notes

    • Deputations

    • Shift templates

    • Bulk copy functionality

  • Copy-paste action does not dynamically calculate end times based on duration; users must verify start and end times manually.
