Reactivate Dormant Aveda Plus Rewards Accounts in Zenoti

This article explains what happens when a guest’s Aveda Plus Rewards account is dormant and how it reactivates via Zenoti, including how to restore prior points.

Overview

A dormant Aveda Plus account reactivates automatically when the guest completes a qualifying transaction (Example: Purchases an Aveda product). A new points balance begins accruing from that transaction onward.

Prerequisites

Aveda Plus Rewards integration is enabled at the organization/center levels.

Limitations

Only Aveda can restore previous points for dormant accounts. Guests must contact the Aveda call center for point restoration; Zenoti users cannot adjust prior balances.

Reactivating dormant Aveda Plus Rewards accounts

To reactivate a dormant Aveda Plus Rewards account, first ensure the guest is either linked to or enrolled in the Aveda Plus Rewards program. Once this is confirmed, the account will automatically reactivate when the guest completes a qualifying transaction—such as purchasing an eligible Aveda product through Zenoti. From that point, new points begin to accrue based on the transaction. 

When assisting a guest, follow these guidelines:

  • Verify that the guest is properly linked or enrolled in Aveda Plus Rewards. 

  • Process a qualifying Aveda product purchase in Zenoti to trigger reactivation. 

  • Inform the guest that previous points cannot be restored through Zenoti. 

  • Direct the guest to contact the Aveda call center if they want earlier points reinstated, as only Aveda can perform this adjustment.
