Configure your Aveda catalog to sync with automated updates

This article explains how Zenoti’s automatic Aveda catalog sync helps business owners and administrators save time and improve accuracy by updating product data seamlessly. You’ll also learn how to configure the sync, choose what to import, and monitor updates using the sync summary.
Overview
Aveda provides a monthly master product catalog that includes over 1,000 SKUs (Stock Keeping Unit) per region, including:
Retail and consumable
New product launches
Discontinued products
Attribute updates such as quantity and price
Aveda+ Rewards eligibility
Prior to automation, Zenoti users had to manually enter this data, causing inconsistencies, reward tracking issues, and onboarding delays.
Zenoti now automates catalog ingestion, syncs product attributes, manages the product lifecycle, and ensures reward eligibility—eliminating manual work and ensuring data accuracy across all centers.
Key terms
SKU (Stock Keeping Unit): A unique identifier for each product.
Aveda+ Rewards: Loyalty program eligibility associated with specific Aveda products.
Vendor: The supplier of a product. Zenoti sets the vendor to Aveda for all synced products.
UPC (Universal Product Code): Barcode associated with a product.
Prerequisites
Your organization must have an active Aveda account and receive the monthly catalog.
You must have administrative access in Zenoti to configure and apply the sync settings.
Considerations
The sync is limited to Aveda salons.
Changes made manually after a sync may be overwritten in the next sync if auto-update options are enabled.
UPC, product name, and vendor are locked for system-managed products.
The sync is triggered monthly and based on a file provided by Aveda’s empowered ordering team.
Sync your Aveda catalog
Follow these steps to sync your Aveda product catalog:
At the organization level, navigate to Configuration > Products.
Find and select: Sync your product catalog.
Click Configure.
From the Choose a product catalog provider dropdown, select Aveda.
Under Sync Aveda product catalog, review:
Matched products: The number of products found in the Aveda global catalog that will be updated.
Unmatched products: These won’t be synced.
Under Vendor and purchase price configuration, select Aveda vendors.
Turn on the Sync purchase price toggle to update with Aveda's wholesale rates.
Turn on the Sync suggested retail price toggle to update MRP for products marked Retail or Both.
Turn on the Set MRP as sale price to toggle apply Aveda’s MRP as the sale price across all centers (Retail products only).
Turn on the Enable Aveda+ rewards toggle to make eligible products participate in reward programs.
Click Save.
Click Sync now.
If successful, the status shows Completed with a timestamp. Use the dropdown to download sync logs if needed.
