Feature: Automatically prioritize requests for a specific provider

How a single-center nail salon was able to accommodate additional 2000+ specific provider requests in 2022

When a client books a specific therapist and if that therapist has a prior booking assigned without a provider preference, the system automatically moves this appointment to another provider for the same time and frees up the requested provider to take up the booking.

In the example, notice that Ashlee (service provider) has an appointment at 10:30 AM for a manicure for Shirley (guest). Also, notice that Shirley has not specified a provider (if she had, a green bar would have been shown on the left of the appointment block). Now, if another client books a service and requests for Ashlee to perform the service at 10:30 AM, the system moves Shirley’s appointment to Adam for the same time and makes room for the new client. Note that this is done automatically without the client, or provider/staff getting involved.

FAQs

Won’t this confuse clients whose appointments are moved?

For appointments booked using Webstore/CMA, if there is no provider preference, the system does not show the provider name and instead says, “Any provider”. Since the guest is not informed of the provider's name, even if their appointment is moved to another provider, there won’t be any confusion. Note that

Note

The appointment is moved only if there is no provider preference and if there is availability at the same time with another provider.
