To enter general details of a tax group

  1. If you are not already on the Tax Group page, At the organization level, click the Admin icon and navigate to Setup > Tax Groups.

  2. Select the Tax Group name.

  3. Complete the following fields in the General tab:

  • Code: This field is mandatory. Enter a unique code number for the tax type. 

  • Tax Group Name: Enter a name for the tax group. Note that a tax group could be just one tax or a group of several taxes.

  • Description: Enter a description for the tax type.

  • Active: Select to make this tax type active for use in the organization.
