At times, the biometric device, which you use for the checkins and checkouts of your employees is not recognized because a Java plugin is disabled.
To address this issue, follow these steps:
In the Firefox browser go to Tools > Add-ons > Plugins.
A list of all the plugins that you have installed appears.
In the list, notice that the Java (TM) Platform SE Plugin is disabled.
Click the Enable button and Refresh the checkin window for the biometric device to be recognized.
