Allow only authorized employees to change the service status back to Waiting from Being Serviced and mandate them to give reasons while doing so. This feature will help you control who can change the service status and avoid discrepancies in service deliveries and payment collections.

To configure this feature at the Organization level:

  • Give the required security role permission to employees.

  • Enable authorization for changing service status back to Waiting. When you enable this setting, only employees with the required role permission can undo the start of service.

  • Enable reasons for changing service status back to waiting. When you enable this setting, service providers will be required to select a predefined reason for changing the service status. Learn how to configure reasons for changing service status back to Waiting from Being Serviced.

Give security role permission for changing service status:

  1. Click the Admin icon and go to Organization > Security Roles.

  2. Click the security role.

  3. Go to the Permissions tab and expand Queue.

  4. Select the Authorized to move from Being Serviced to Waiting check box.

  5. Click Save.

Enable authorization for changing service status back to Waiting:

  1. Click the Admin icon and go to Organization > Organizations.

  2. Go to the Settings tab and expand Queue/Guest Kiosk.

  3. Select the Only allow move from In Service to Waiting when authorized check box.

  4. Specify the time limit beyond which only authorized employees can change the service status. For example, you configured the time limit to be 10 minutes. Within 10 minutes of starting the service, any employee can undo the start of the service. After 10 minutes, only employees with the required role permission can change the service status.

  5. Click Save.

Enable reasons for changing service status back to waiting

  1. At the organization level, click the Admin icon and go to Organization > Organizations.

  2. Go to the Settings tab and expand Queue/Guest Kiosk.

  3. Select the Require employee to provide reason for moving guest from Being Serviced to Waiting check box.

  4. Click Save.
