Facebook Pixel allows you to track user behavior and helps in analyzing guest’s booking behavior.

The recent iOS 14 update adheres to the App Tracking Transparency framework that impacts the way Facebook receives and processes tracking information. If you are an existing Facebook Pixel user on iOS 14 device, you must complete a one-time domain verification on the sites where you track guest behavior.

This article lists out the steps to complete the domain verification (via a meta tag) So that you can continue to track guest behavior .

Configuring the meta tag verification is a two-step process.

Step 1: Generate the Facebook Pixel meta tag

Step 2: Add the meta tag to the Webstore

Step 1: Generate the Facebook Pixel Meta Tag

  1. Open Facebook Events Manager (https://www.facebook.com/events_manager)

  2. Log in using your credentials.

  3. From the side-menu, select Business Tools (Below the Home icon)

4. Navigate to Business Settings > Brand Safety > Domains.

Note: After you click Business Settings, you may be required to select
your business manager account. Select the appropriate account to proceed.

The Add a Domain pop-up appears.

5. Enter your domain name in the text box.

For example, if your business domain name is
www.examplesalon.zenoti.com, enter examplesalon.zenoti.com in the text box.

6. Click Add Domain.

The Domains page appears.

7. In the Domains page, select the verification method as Meta Tag Verification.

The Meta Tag verification section, and the verification steps appear.

8. From the first verification step, copy the meta-tag content code.

For example, if the meta-tag is <meta name="facebook-domain-
verification" content="qpt5n6qh27e3enimrg1fdxe9zg6odq" />, copy the code
that appears after content=”. In this case, it will
be qpt5n6qh27e3enimrg1fdxe9zg6odq.

9. Paste this code in the CX V3 template – Step 2.

Important: After you paste this code in the CX V3 template, you must come back to Meta Tag Verification section and click Verify. This will verify the code that is added to your Webstore and enable Facebook Pixel tracking.

You will see the following message after the code is verified successfully.

Step 2: Add the Meta Tag to Webstore

  1. At the organization level, click the Admin icon.

  2. Navigate to Organizations > Organization > Online Booking > CX V3.

  3. Locate Facebook Meta Tag Verification Code setting.

  4. In the text box, paste the verification code (Copied in the Step 1 where
    you generated the meta tag).

  5. Click Save.

    You have successfully added the Facebook Pixel Meta Tag.

    This allows you to track guest behavior using Facebook Pixel on iOS 14 devices.
