A pay rate defines the way you pay employees. For example, you may want to pay an instructor for each class or workshop, a flat amount, let’s say $100, irrespective of the job level. Or, you may set an incremental pay rate that helps a new employee to earn based on performance.

Important: As a studio manager, you can choose exclusive pay rates that are applicable only for instructors in your studio.

Role Required: Owner, Admin, Manager

To create a payrate

  1. Ensure you are at the center level or studio level.

  2. Navigate Fitness > Set Up > Pay Rates.
    The PayRates page appears.

3. Click +Create Payrates.
The payrates page appears.

4. Enter the following information:
- Name: The name of the pay rate.
- Description: The detailed information about the pay rate.
- Is Active: Select this checkbox to make it available.
- Instructor pay rate:
i. Pay rate defined at session or class level: Select this option to pay the instructor based on the pay rate the admin sets while creating a class or workshop.
ii. Flat amount per class: Select this option to pay the instructor a fixed amount for each class or workshop.
When you select this option, you can see a few additional fields.
You can enter the bonus amount the instructor gets for each class along with the minimum and maximum pay.

iii. Flat amount per guest per class: Select this option to pay the instructor a fixed amount for each class or workshop for each guest.

iv. Percentage of revenue of each guest visit per class: Select this option to pay the instructor a percentage from the studio’s revenue, limited with a minimum and maximum pay.

v. Incremental rate (Flat): Select this option to pay the instructor based on performance (number of students in each class). For example, for the first class, if the number of students is between 10 to 20, you may pay the instructor $100, for the next class, if the number of students is between 25 to 30, you may pay $200, and so on. This option is useful if you are introducing a new class or if the instructor is a newbie.

Click Add.
A row is added to add the pay details.

Enter the minimum and the maximum number (range) of guests the instructor must conduct classes or workshops, and the amount the instructor receives when the guest count is between the set range.

To add another row, click Add again. Click the delete button to delete a commission.


vi. Incremental rate (Percentage): Select this option to pay a percentage of revenue generated from this class, provided the guest count is within a range (minimum and maximum).

To add another row, click Add again. Click the delete button to delete a commission.

5. Click Save.
The payrate is created.
