After you download the PayServer bundle and install the Pay Server Service, and Set Verifone e355 in USB mode and connect to a Windows PC or Miura card reader (via USB or Bluetooth) to the Windows PC, you must edit the config file (which is part of the extracted PayServer bundle) with the Port information of your connected card reader.

Before your Begin

  • To edit the config file, you must have Administrator privileges on the computer.
  • The steps in this article are applicable only if you wish to collect payments by connecting a Verifone e355 card reader (via USB) or Miura card reader (via USB or Bluetooth)
  • If you wish to collect payments using Zenoti Mobile POS, no additional configuration is required. If you have a Terminal added (see Step 14 of
Configure your Zenoti Account to Accept Zenoti Payments) you can initiate payments from the Zenoti Mobile POS

To edit the config file

1. Open the Zenoti Payments folder where you have extracted the PayServer bundle.

2. Double-click the server folder.

3. Based on the card reader you are using, do one of the following:
    - If you are using Verifone e355 card reader
: Download this config.yaml file and
replace the one in the server folder.
   - If you are using a Miura card reader: Proceed with the next step.

4. Open the config.yaml file in a notepad.

5. Ensure that the port for WEBSOCKET is set to 8087.
You must enter the same port number in the Processor Settings when
configuring Zenoti Payments (See step 11).

If you are using a Verifone e355 card reader

1. Verify if you have the following entries in the config file.

# sample configuration for a Verifone reader connected via USB
-
name: USB Verifone              # human readable device name
identifier: usbVerifone         # unique identifier
type: VERIFONE                  # device type
comlink: USB                    # connection type
port: COM9                      # virtual port name
keep_alive: true                # the device will be kept connected

2. (Optional) Change the name of the identifier. Make a note of the identifier.
You will need the identifier when you are adding Verifone e355 as a terminal in
    Zenoti.

3. (Optional) Change the port number with the port number you noted when you
connected the card reader to the PC.

4. Save your changes.

5. Come out of the Server folder by clicking the back button and run the
     Restart Pay Server Service
.

6. A command prompt appears and you get a message stating: operation
    completed successfully
.

You can now proceed to the next step of adding Verifone e355 as a Terminal

If you are using a Miura card reader

1. If you have connected the Miura device via USB, make a note of the identifier (in
the below screenshot, the identifier for USB is redMiura) and change the port

number with the port number you noted when you
connected the card reader to the PC.
Note: You will need the identifier when you are adding a terminal in Zenoti.
For more information, see Step 13 of
Configure your Zenoti Account to Accept Zenoti Payments.

2. If you have connected the Miura device via Bluetooth, make a note of the identifier     (in the above screenshot, the identifier for USB is greenMiura)

and change the port number with the port number you made note of when you
connected the card reader to the PC.
Note: You will need the identifier when you are adding a terminal in Zenoti.
For more information, see Step 13 of
Configure your Zenoti Account to Accept Zenoti Payments.

3. Save your changes.

4. Come out of the Server folder by clicking the back button and run the
     Restart Pay Server Service
.

5. A command prompt appears and you get a message stating: operation
   completed successfully
