As a business owner, it is a good idea for you to know which category of services are more popular with guests and which ones don’t attract as many bookings. You can then take other business decisions once you gain these insights. 

For example, if a service category such as Nails is not doing well, you may think of running some campaigns offering discounts around services in this category or you may think of discontinuing the service category altogether. Similarly, you can keep track of service categories that are doing well, and then decide whether you have enough providers to meet the demand for those services. 

Filters

The Service by Category dashboard has the following filters: 

  • Start Date, End Date: Use these filters to specify the date range to track details regarding appointment time at your centers. For example, which day of the week and which time of the day do guests prefer for appointments. Note: These filters apply to all the charts.
  • Zone Name: Use this option to filter all the charts based on the Zone you select.
  • Centre Name: Use this option to filter all the charts by the Center you select.
  • Guest Gender: Use this option to filter all the charts by Male, Female, or Not Applicable or All guests respectively. 
  • Is Member: Use this option to filter all the charts by Male, Female, or Not Applicable or All guests respectively. 
  • Guest Type: Use this filter to specify the Guest Type such as Existing Guest, New Guest, or All. 
  • Service Category: Use this option to filter based on service category. For example, you may choose hair services as the service category.
  • Item Name: Use this option to specify the name of the service. For example, if you choose hair services as the service category earlier, you can further filter down to services such as global coloring, color touch up, hair cut and blow dry, hair straightening, or hair perm. 

Service Sales by Category

Based on the filters you select, you can view details of the actual value of your sales by service category. For example, you can view service sales for Body Treatments, Hair Care, or Skin Care as a whole. 

The Service Sales by Category - Month on Month line graph shows the details for service sales by service category for each month in the time frame you specify. Each service category is represented in a different color - you can hover your mouse over the graph for further details. 

The Service Sales by Category - This tree map shows the services categories with higher sales in darker and bigger tiles. You can use this heat map as a quick reference point to find out service categories with higher sales vs service categories that are not doing so well. 

Service Count by Category

Based on the filters you select, you can view details of the actual count (units) of your sales by service category. For example, you can view service count for Body Treatments, Hair Care, or Skin Care as a whole.
