To ensure smooth business operations and to maintain strong inventory management practises, it is important for the front desk to know the stock levels of retail products at all times.

Imagine a situation where a guest requests for some units of body lotion, hair color, and moisturizer. The front desk creates the invoice for these products only to realize later that the the moisturizer is out of stock. Such situations do not reflect well on your business. As a business owner or a an administrator, you can avert such situations, by configuring settings to proceed, alert (warn), or block the sale of products when stock levels are low.

To alert your front desk when stock levels are low

  1. Ensure that you are at the center level.
  2. Navigate to Admin > Organization > Centers > Name of your center > Settings > Inventory.
    The Edit Center page appears.
  3. Select an option for the setting, Consider current stock during sale:
    a) Not applicable: If you select this option, the stock quantity does not appear.
    b) Allow sale at any stock: If you select this option, the current stock in POS appears and the front desk is allowed to proceed with the sale irrespective of the stock level.
    c) Warn if no stock: If you select this option, Zenoti warns the front desk that there is insufficient stock, but allows the front desk to proceed with the sale.
    d) Block sale if no stock: If you select this option, Zenoti blocks the sale if there is insufficient stock. See screenshot for reference.
    Note
: Current stock shown includes the units in the store and on floor. The current stock appears on the Price Check page too.

     4. Click Save.
Depending on the option you select, Zenoti warns/blocks the sale of products              when stock levels are low or allows the front desk to proceed with the sale                    irrespective of the stock levels. For example, if your setting is set to Block sale if          no stock, when the front desk tries to sell a product with low stock, Zenoti                     blocks the sale with the message as follows:
