By default, Zenoti shows the <first name, last name > of an employee in various customer-facing touchpoints.

Providers may want to use alternate nicknames, short forms of their names, or just their initials to make it easier for customers to recall their names (for repeat bookings). Similarly, therapists may want only their nickname (not their real names) to appear in all client-facing communication such as automated notifications and text alerts and in online bookings.


In such cases, an owner or manager can use various fields in the employee profile such that only employee nicknames are shown in customer-facing touchpoints.

Note: As an employee, if you want to change your nickname, reach out to your owner or manager.

A) In Appointment Book, Employee Schedule, and Employee Reports

B) In appointment-related communication such as emails and text messages

C) In online bookings (Webstore V2) and in the CMA (Customer Mobile App)

A) To show the nickname of a provider in Appointment Book, Employee Schedule, and Employee Reports

  1. Go to the employee profile.
  2. In the General tab > Personal Info section, enter a nickname in the Nickname field.
  3. Click Save.

The nickname appears in:

​a) Appointment Book.

​b) Employee Schedule

​c) Employee reports (along with the first name and the last name of the employee).

​B) To show the nickname of a provider in appointment-related communication such as emails and text messages:

  1. Go to the employee profile.
  2. In the General tab > Personal Info section, enter a nickname in the Name (Appointment Emails/Messages) field.
  3. Click Save.

​The nickname you enter in the Name (Appointment Emails/Messages) field appears as the name of the employee in:

All emails and text messages where the therapist-related macros are used as part of communications such as the Appointment Confirmation email/text or the Appointment Reminder email/text notifications.

C) To show the nickname of a provider in online bookings (Webstore V2) and in CMA

  1. Go to the employee profile.
  2. In the Catalog tab enter a name in the Display Name field.
    The name you enter here appears as the name of the employee for Online Bookings and the CMA (Customer Mobile App).
