When you are creating a discount, the first tab is the General tab.

Based on your requirements, complete the fields as follows:

1. Discount Name: Enter a descriptive name for the discount.
    Example: A Cut for Color.

2. Description: Enter a short description for the discount.
    Example: Haircut offered free for a hair color service.

3. Multiple campaigns can be applied on: Based on your requirements, make one of
    the following selections:

  • Single Invoice: If you select this option, in an invoice containing multiple items, the front desk can apply a discount to an item and also any other applicable discount to another item.
    Note: You cannot apply multiple discounts on a single item.
    Example: If a guest purchases three services (Body Massage, Golden Facial, and Hair Color), and if the discount you are creating is applicable for Golden Facial and Hair Color services, and you have another discount that you can apply for the Body Massage, you can apply this discount to both Golden Facial and Hair Color services and apply another discount to the Body Massage service. 
  • Single Item: If you select this option, in an invoice containing multiple items, the front desk can apply multiple discounts to either the same or multiple items.
    Example: If a guest purchases three services (Body Massage, Golden Facial, and Hair Color), and if the discount you are creating is applicable for Golden Facial service, and if you are running a promotion offering 20% discount on facial services, you can apply both the discounts (the promotional discount for facial services and also the current discount) on the Golden Facial service.
    Note: You will be able to apply both the discounts only if both the discounts have have Single Item selected for the Multiple campaigns can be applied on setting.
  • None: If you select this option, when this discount is applied, front desk cannot apply any other discount (except manual discounts) on the invoice.
    Example: If a guest purchases three services (Body Massage, Golden Facial, and Hair Color), and if the discount you are creating is applicable for Golden Facial and Hair Color services, and you have another discount that you can apply for the Body Massage, you can either apply the discount that is applicable to both Golden Facial and Hair Color services or apply the discount applicable on the Body Massage service, but not both.

    Selecting None enables three additional tabs, Service Prerequisites, Product Prerequisites, and Package Prerequisites tabs. You can use these tabs to specify service, product, and package prerequisites. The prerequisite item must be included in the invoice for this discount to be applicable.
    Example: If you are offering a free hair cut on a Global Hair color service, the Global Hair color service must be selected as a prerequisite service. If an invoice includes the Global Hair color, then the free hair cut discount will be available to the front desk to apply.

4. Discount: Based on your requirements, select the discount to be applied to Invoice
     Level
or Item Level.

Invoice level

  • Specific Value: If you select this option from the drop-down, when the discount is applied, a fixed monetary amount is reduced from the basic price.
    Note: Specific value discount is not available for Webstore deals (online deals). You can only offer percentage discounts for Webstore deals.
    Example: If you specify 10, the maximum discount that is applied is $10. If there are multiple items on which the discount is applied, the overall applicable discount will be still $ 10.
  • Percentage: If you select this option from the drop-down, when the discount is applied, a percentage of the basic price is reduced.
    Example: If you specify 10, the maximum discount that is applied on an item is 10%. If there are multiple items on which the discount is applied, 10% is reduced on each of the items.
  • Use only for no show invoices: Select this option if you want to restrict the discount only for no show invoices. If you select this option, this discount will be available only for invoices marked as No Show.
    Note: You can use this discount if you collect a no show fee and you wish to offer a discount on the no show fee of a guest.
  • Use only for cancelled invoices: Select this option if you want to restrict the discount only to canceled invoices. If you select this option, this discount will be available only for invoices marked as Cancelled.
    Note: You can use this discount if you collect a cancellation fee and you wish to offer a discount on the cancellation fee of a guest.

  Item level

  • Define Discount for each selected service:  Select this option if you wish to specify discount separately for each of the services.
    Example: You can specify to give a 10% discount on Gold Facial and 15% off on a Platinum Facial.
  • Define Discount for each selected package:  Select this option if you wish to specify discount separately for each of the packages.
    Example: You can specify to give a 10% discount on a Manicure package and 15% off on a Pedicure package.
  • Define Discount for each selected product:  Select this option if you wish to specify discount separately for each of the products.
    Example: You can specify to give a 10% discount on Hair Conditioner and 15% off on Hair Cream.
  • Define Discount for each selected membership:  Select this option if you wish to specify discount separately for each of the memberships.
    Example: You can specify to give a 10% discount on Gold Membership and 15% off on a Platinum Membership.
  • Apply On: If there are multiple items that are eligible for a discount on the invoice, - Select Least priced item to award a discount on the least priced item.
    - Select Most priced item to award a discount on the most priced item. 

5. Vouchers: Discount vouchers are unique codes that you can offer as incentives to
     your guests to try your products or services. The vouchers typically consist of
     alphanumeric characters, printed on marketing coupons (vouchers).  Guests who
     receive the vouchers can walk into relevant centers and avail the offers.

     
Based on your requirement, create one of the following vouchers:

6. Minimum Amount: Enter the minimum amount that the guest must spend on an
    invoice to be eligible for this discount.
    Note: Leave this field empty if you do not wish to set an eligibility amount for the
    discount.

7.  Maximum Amount: Enter the maximum amount that the guest can spend and
    still be eligible for this discount.
    Note: Leave this field empty if you do not wish to set an eligibility amount for the
    discount.

8. Applicable Days and Time: Select the days of the week and the time interval during
    each of the selected days when the discount is applicable.

9. Deferred Discount: Select Allow discount to be used later to make the discount a
    deferrable discount.
    A deferred discount can be used later and need not be taken on the same day on
    the same invoice.
    Example: There might be a hair cut free on a global hair color.
    The guest might not want to take the free hair cut at the same time. However, if the       discount is deferrable, Zenoti allows you to apply the free hair cut discount to the
    guest when the guest comes at a later time.
     
    If you select the Allow discount to be used later checkbox, you can additionally
    specify the discount expiry as either the number of days after purchase or a
    particular date
.

10. Click Next or Finish.

  • If you click Next, the Services tab opens. 
  • If you click Finish. The discount is created. You can now associate it with a campaign.
