Front office staff may often create duplicate guest records when booking appointments. For instance, for the same guest, there could be multiple records in the system, one with first name, another with first name and last name.
You can combine such records into a single guest record and merge the services, products, packages, membership, and gift card history into a single record.
Note: Merging of guest records depends on your role permission.
Only if you have the required permissions to merge guest records, you will be able to perform this action from the Appointment book.

Merge guests using any of the methods below:

  • Merging Guest Records from the Appointment Book
  • Merging Guest Records from the Guest Profile

Merge guest records from the Appointment Book

1. Click an open slot in the appointment book, and select New Appointment to create
   an appointment.

2. Enter the first name, last name, or mobile number of a guest and select a guest
    record from the list of suggestions.

3. To merge the selected guest record with another guest, click the Merge link at the
     bottom of the guest appointment information panel.

    Note: When the records get merged, Zenoti retains the guest’s name, phone
    number, and email address of the guest record you select above. Only active
    memberships, packages, prepaid cards, and gift cards details get merged.

4. In the Select Guests section, enter the guest information you want to merge the
    records with. Enter the guest name, phone number, code, or email, and then
    click Search

5. Select the appropriate guest from the search results list. Click Next.

6. In the Merge Summary section, the application shows the information related to the
    guest, such as active memberships, packages, prepaid cards, and gift cards. Click
    the guest name to open the guest details page. 

7. To merge the records, click Confirm & Merge.

Merge guest records from the guest profile

1. Navigate to the guest profile and click the Merge Guest button. 

2. In the Select Guests section, enter the guest information you want to merge the
    records with. Enter the guest name, phone number, code, or email, and then
    click Search.

3. Select the appropriate guest from the search results list. Click Next.

4. In the Merge Summary section, the application shows the information related to the
    guest, such as active memberships, packages, prepaid cards, and gift cards.
    Click the guest name to open the guest details page. 

5. To merge the records, click Confirm & Merge
