If you are operating your stores in airport, you can scan the barcode on a boarding pass while booking an appointment. The scanners gather details such as guest name, flight number, boarding point, destination, and departure date.

If your guest details already exist, a guest list appears from which you can select the guest. For a new guest, you must manually fill the details.

Zenoti supports Symbol 4208 Handheld Barcode Reader scanner to scan the boarding passes.

You can scan the boarding pass from Appointment Book and Point Of Sale window.

To scan your boarding pass from Appointment Book

  1. In the Appointment Book, click an empty slot and select New Appointment.
    The Appointment Info Panel opens.
  2. Click any field in the Appointment Info Panel, scan the barcode available on your guests boarding pass.
    If the guest details already exist, a guest list appears from which you can select the guest. If the guest is new, scanned details such as First Name and Last Name appear in the Appointment Info panel. You can manually fill other details.
  3. Perform one of the following:
  • For an existing guest, select appropriate guest profile from the suggested profiles.

       The selected guest details appear in the Appointment Info panel.

  • For a new guest, after you scan the boarding pass, details such as First Name and Last Name automatically appear in the Appointment Info panel. Complete filling other details such as Code, Email, Gender or Referral.
    A new guest profile is created for the new guest.

   4. Continue to book an appointment

Important: Scanned flight details such as From, To, and On appear in the Notes field.

To scan your boarding pass from Point Of Sale Window 

  1. In the Appointment Book, perform one of the following:
  • Click the Point of Sale icon.
  • Click an empty slot and select Point of Sale.

      The Point of Sale window opens.
    2. Click any field in the Point of Sale window, scan the barcode on your guests
        boarding pass.
        For an existing guest, guest profiles are suggested. For a new guest, scanned
       details appear in the Point of Sale window.
    3. Perform one of the following:

  • For an existing guest, select appropriate guest profile from the suggested profiles.
    The guest details appear in the Point of Sale window.
  • For a new guest, after you scan the boarding pass, details such as First Name and Last Name automatically appear in the Appointment Info panel. You can fill other details such as Code, Email, Gender or Referral.
    A guest profile is created.

     4. Continue to take payments on the Point of Sale window.

Important: Scanned flight details such as From, To, and On appear in the Comments field.

Note: Flight details are printed on the receipt.
